Common Causes of Fractures & Bone Injuries

• Traumatic fractures: falls, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries
• Stress fractures: repetitive loading exceeding bone remodeling capacity (common in runners and military recruits)
• Avulsion fractures: bone pulled away by tendon or ligament during sudden movement
• Osteoporotic fractures: low-energy fractures in patients with reduced bone density
• Pathological fractures: fractures through bone weakened by tumor or disease

Common Symptoms:
